We've been the overwhelmed owner, too.
WhatNow is a small operations consultancy built on real operating experience, not theory. Our founder spent years running day-to-day operations for high-volume live-selling businesses — including some of the biggest names in sports memorabilia — where show-day chaos, fast-moving inventory, and a lean team were the daily reality.
Today we bring that same hands-on approach to online sellers, live sellers, and local retailers across North Metro Atlanta and beyond. Most of our clients are doing real revenue with a tiny team — a few people, a lot of hats, and no time to step back. We bring the structure: the systems, the hiring plan, the playbooks — built around how your business actually works, not a generic template.

What size businesses does WhatNow work with?
We work with solo operators and early-stage entrepreneurs up to businesses with around 30 employees, typically doing anywhere from early revenue to low/mid eight figures annually. If you've outgrown winging it but don't need a corporate ops department, that's our sweet spot.
Do you work with franchise businesses?
No. Franchise operations come with brand standards, vendor agreements, and systems set by the franchisor, which limits how much we can change. WhatNow is built for independent businesses that own their own operating decisions.
Is this a one-time project or an ongoing retainer?
Both, depending on what you need. Some clients bring us in for a focused project, such as a hiring plan, an inventory system, or a set of SOPs, and we hand it off when it's done. Others prefer ongoing support as they keep scaling. We'll recommend what fits after the first call, with no pressure either way.
Do you work with businesses outside North Metro Atlanta?
Most of our in-person work is with businesses in North Metro Atlanta, including Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming, Johns Creek, Milton, and Marietta, but a large part of our work, especially for online and live sellers, happens remotely. Location usually isn't a barrier.
Do you help with automation, not just processes?
Yes. Beyond documenting how things should work, we help set up the tools and automations that take repetitive tasks off your plate, and we're building dedicated automation services as an ongoing option for clients who want it managed for them.
